This line of jewellery made by Rice-Weiner & Co. would have appealed to buyers' sense of patriotism, although America hadn't yet entered WWII. This brooch in a reverse colour variant, as well as a double winged hinged cuff bracelet are shown in the jewellery chapter on page 123 of my illustrated of this artist.
